I bought this space-flown white heat shield tile as a thermal tile from the Space Shuttle Endeavour. When I received the flight history of this Shuttle tile, I found out that this tile has not only been flown on Endeavour several times, but also on Atlantis, Columbia and Discovery!
This is the back side of the Space Shuttle tile. The red stuff is RTV silicone that was used to glue the thermal tile to the Shuttle.
