TheU.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864 model can be mounted from the back and from the bottom.

To support the weight of the model, I added a structure to the inside of it.
The gaps in the MDF beam will allow light to reach the two clear domes on the top and the bottom of the ship.

The cables from the two mounting ports that will supply the 12 Volts to the cold kathodes and LEDs I will install.
